Original review Feb 15, 2024

Hello, I came to the las Vegas location at Tropicana and jones at 11am was told to go do online check in and head home due to a 3 hour wait, so I did... At 2:55pm I was sent a text to head over to the office and I did arriving at 3:10pm it's now 5:48pm and I'm still sitting here didn't even see a DR yet...

Why was I told to get here if your staff was not ready? And why am I still here at 6pm when I did online at 11am? I could have went to and been just getting out of the ER at this point..

Can you tell the staff to do less chit chat and more work because I am sitting here listening to what they had for lunch dinner where they're going.. Everything but working.

I need a chest X-ray without insurance.

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I am writing to express my disappointment and concern regarding my recent visit to Wonder World ER Care. Unfortunately, the experience I had with the receptionist during my visit was deeply unsatisfactory.

Upon my arrival, I was made to wait for approximately 15 minutes until the receptionist finally appeared.

To my surprise, she ate an apple on a plate and seemed disinterested in attending to my inquiries. Furthermore, when I approached her with my question, she responded with a mouth full of food, making it difficult to understand and causing significant discomfort. Also, responding to my questions like I was a child.

I left the facility feeling incredibly upset and appalled by the receptionist's behavior and disrespectful attitude.

I needed an X-ray for my new employer, and I did not have a doctor's referral, nor did the employer.

I planned to pay for my packet, and she explained the procedure. As a customer, it is disheartening to be treated in such a manner, especially in a healthcare setting where professionalism and empathy should be a priority.

All individuals should be treated with respect and dignity, irrespective of the circumstances.

Thank you for your attention.

Fire hazards disregarded

CareNow - Fire hazards disregarded

During my visit to carenow I noticed a locked front door with a sign above the dor that read. "THIS DOOR TO REMAIN UNLOCKED WHILE BUILDING IS OCCUPIED." I unlocked the door thinking it was a mistake since the door was locked.

I was then instructed by Crystal Ryder an employee of the clinic to lock the door. I pointed out that the sign was there to ensure people have an escape incase there is an emergency and that the fire department requires these signs for public safety. She stated that she didn't care and the door will remain locked.

I let her know I would report the violation and again she stated she did not care. This has been brought to the attention of the Clark County fire Marshall and they will be contacting CareNow regarding this violation

Pros:
  • Are available for minor care
Cons:
  • Are very unprofessional and disregard the safety to the people
  • Claim to be keeping healthy

Preferred solution: I would like to see her trained on the safety violations she is obviously ignorant to or if she is aware then she operates unethically. She is a liability to CareNow

User's recommendation: Stay away from this place. As long as Crystal Ryder is employed there. She gave direction to disregard the office occupants safety. Insisting on ignoring fire dept regulations in their lobby.

I went in with an ear infection yesterday .

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Dry confirmed that was the cause of my pain and nausea. She's said she's going to wipe a script for amoxicillin.

I said no, that's an instant yeast infection. She said she can in call in Fluconazole. Done. Whatever.

I can't drive the infection is so bad. My daughter goes to get the medicine. It's amoxicillin. I called the clinic back.

The Dr apologized, she'll call again. We wait another 20min. My daughter comes back with the Fluconazole. After taking it and passing out again.

My husband gets home I show him the medicine. She prescribed yeast infection medicine to go with the antibiotics I said no to. So I'm still in pain.

Have to pay to go someplace else where they will give my an antibiotic that works. Never going back.

Told to leave clinic without any service

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Adult son was in severe pain in side, felt it was kidney, became irritated at trying to fill out paper work, ( had good insurance ) he said the "f" work and receptionist told him to leave , we do not need people like you in here, he has tattoos and long hair, was judged by a non medical person , he ended up in an ER at a hospital, (5 hours), he did have a kidney stone. Letter from home office stating he was barred from service in any of their facilities in the future. Really a caring place, a real joke, Their website stated that they had 11 physicians here, not true, at least all in a given day.

Covid billing

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
My wife went in July 14 for a Covid test knowing she already had Covid. She was wanting a paxlovid script as it worked so well in the past. Now, due to their improper billing to the insurance company. They say we owe $204 out of a $528 total charge. According to our insurance company, they say we owe nothing. We satisfied the co-pay, but are unable to get anyone at care now to even acknowledge the problem they have no customer service whatsoever.

Billing

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I took my son to Care Now in Chester Virginia on October 2, 2023. Part of the process was attaching a credit card to our file.

I paid the $50 co-pay as expected through our insurance company at the time of the visit.

On October 20th I was charged $180 to my credit card, without any prior warning or notice. I have not received any EOBs, bills from physicians, insurance, or any other party that I would have to provide payment too. I expressed my displeasure with a representative on the phone, who was actually nice and a human being, but she explained to me that I signed paperwork during the sign in process at the time of my visit that allowed them to charge a max of $180. Virginia is their pilot state for this evidently.

I explained to her that during my visit with my son, I was instructed by a wonderful lady on her cell phone, who muted her call just long long enough to send me to their website on my phone to login. And at no point was I explained that money would be withdrawn and charge to my account without prior authorization.

My family and I pay all of our medical bills in a timely fashion and in full, but for someone else to have their hand in my wallet was not an acceptable practice by what is an now growing company.

Great service in office by physicians, but damn send me a bill or email to let me know you need payment. Totally unacceptable.

It isnt about the money, but the processes to gather owed money that has me upset. Come on, you cant just take money without prior authorization.

"was I explained that money" Then you should not have signed something you didn't bother to read or understand. What did you think would happen if you gave them a card number?

Totally understand you point armchair quarterback, but when you have a sick child you typically try to get them help as soon as possible. If you have time let me know next time he is sick and your sarcastic *** *** can come on by and read the details for me while I am being a father.

Been on my own since 18 and house paid off so step the *** back. Just expressing my concern with processes.

Sarah Elsafty patient 6/17/23 Refused to remove bandage, clean and evaluate wound.

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
CareNow - Sarah Elsafty patient 6/17/23 Refused to remove bandage, clean and evaluate wound.

My daughter sent me a picture of a gash she sustained tripping and falling on rocks & gravel, I suggested that she have it evaluted for possible stitches and cleaning. Since her insurance took Care Now I felt confident with my past years of visits in Frisco at Preston/Lebanon location that she would receive ethical medical treatment, this was not the case.

Her boyfriend was witness to the treatment or lack of during her visit. Her knee was bandage and she was brought to a clinical room, she was seen but not assessed by an African American female individual bluntly indicating she "would not" take a look at injury without an X-ray? My job trains me for first aid situations and a family member is an RN so injuries should be in order of importance, breathing, bleeding, broken bones and burns. Proper medical care to determine if an X-ray was needed would have been to assess wound, clean with saline syringe for gravel etc.

and treat for infection none of which was done, the medical provider did not check gash period! This is deplorable medical treatment for anyone and despite the refunding of her copay this is unacceptable patient care. I have told my daughter to make sure I'm on her Hipaa so if you need to speak with her to get permission to talk with me here's her contact info. 972-965-**** and the facility she visited 4617 N.

Central Expwy, Dallas 75205.

She was not given any receipt or who was medical provider only pending charge on her bank account at this facilty but she was told it would be credited. I will expect a response to this email once you clear Hipaa with my daughter and if necessary will kick it up to next level if a response is not received.

After the fact I read reviews on this location none of which were good.

Post injury drug screen

We have been using you facilities for our injuries for years but recently obtaining the drug screen have been a nightmare. We had an employee injured on 10-12-2023.

A drug screen was done which had to be sent out for further testing. We are unable to put our employees back to work until we get the final results. I have sent numerous e-mails, total of 10 for the past week to get these results with no success. The employee is xxx.

She was seen in the Fort Worth Clinic on 10/12/2023.

I am at my wits end as this employee wants to return to work and she is sitting out there with no income. I'm afraid that if i cannot get any results, we will have to stop using CareNow.

Dissatisfied with service

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

If I can rate this with 0 I will surely do so. They need customer training for REAL!

I came in with an order from my company (who is paying for the service) accidentally ordered an extra service and l told them the company will email me a new one and ask them if they can just collect my urine sample while waiting for a new order cause i needed to *** badly but they said they needed the order form before they can do the test. I understand the protocol but they need to bend a little to accommodate the current situation (that is what you call customer service and thinking out if the box) but no they dis not accommodate my rest and I have to stay until i will have the urge to *** again ( that is another hour of waiting)...

So frustrated... They already have bad reviews and will continue to have one if they dont train their staff...

I, also, like to randomly drop urine specimens off at places with no accompanying lab order. It sure keeps things interesting when you are storing urine specimens and don’t have an order to go with them!

What else did they mistakenly order?

Bad office visit

Hello I was seen at Carenow (17122 Bulverde Rd Ste 104 San Antonio Tx, 78247) on 8-14-2023 for a UTI (had been see before for this at this location), the problems started with the front desk attendant. When I checked in I was asked what I was being seen for and so I told her and then I let her know I needed to use the lady's room and she told me I'd have to wait even though I told her what I was being seen for.

I didn't use the restroom till I was back in my room, I did not catch her name. When I was called up to discuss my insurance (had sent it hours before the appt) the young lady asked had I been seen here before? What type of insurance did I have? Is it Medicaid?

I started to tell her I sent it way in advance and that they had enough time to verify it, the last few times I've had to pay $170. I explained to the young lady that it's Meritain through Aetna and that Meritain does do fax backs (I've been in the medical field 20yrs and have been verifying medical insurance for the same amount of time) she told me they don't verify ins till the patient arrives, I told again they do fax backs. She then told me that my insurance was oon since she couldn't verify it, she also told me that I should get new insurance one that everyone takes (she really needs training on insurance verification), she also stated that if I do need to be seen again to go somewhere else where they take my insurance, that I need to call my insurance to find a provider that accepts my insurance. I've never had a bad experience at Carenow but this one will be my last time ever going to a Carenow I would rather go to the ER and sit for hours then be told I can't use the restroom even though I'm in pain, I need to get new insurance and to go somewhere else.

I was calmly trying to explain things to her and she just kept cutting me off. It's as if she wanted me to leave and go somewhere else. I left mad and upset.

That clinic really needs to train their staff on customer service and insurance verification I've never been to a doctors office where they just have you pay a flat rate because they can't verify insurance till you arrive that's ridiculous. I'm still upset about this whole ordeal this has just left a bad taste in my mouth.

Overcharge on a copay

I was seen on April 05 2023 and overcharged by $104.10. I have been trying to get my refund and each time I have called they just keep saying it will be 30 to 45 days. Today ( July 21 2023 ) I talked to Heather in billing and she said she didnt know why they haven't sent out the refund so she gave me a number which is 169**** and told me the refund amount of $104.10 and then I thought she was going to connect me with someone but then I got a dial tone. And I tried to call back and billing had already closed.

Rude/Dismissive Staff

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I have currently been waiting in the waiting room for over 30min for a simple drug screen. The staff member at the frontdesk (Imani) was flippant from the very time I entered the office.

She never properly explained things, and another staffer had to explain why my ID was being held. I was previously a victim of identity therft, so i worry about my ID b3ing handled improperly. had to ask a staff member who was coming in from a break for assistance (Brandy).

As a person who has worked in Customer Service for 20yrs, it is important to keep your clients updated on wait times and what could be taking so long to complete a simple drug test.

As soon as I asid something, I was immediately called back. This can only lead me to presume that the problem was the clerk at the desk (Imani).

Medical billing fraud!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

They charge $180/office visit if you dont have insurance or your insurance deductible hasnt been met. This doesnt cover testing, imaging, etc.

I paid the $180 out of pocket, as my insurance deductible wasnt met for the year.

They did NOTHING but weigh me. The PA-yah, no doctors here-walked in the room and pushed himself against a wall to distance himself from me in the room and mumbled nonsense I couldnt hear from behind a mask. Said he would prescribe antibiotics for a VIRUS I was already almost over. I walked out with no treatment, no testing done, refused meds-literally NOTHING.

Total incompetence and the strangest experience Ive ever had at a medical facility.

2 months later, I get a bill saying my insurance paid $500 on top of the $180 I paid with a balance owed by me in the amount of $65 = $745 FOR NO SERVICES RENDERED!!! Again, i had NOTHING done at the clinic-just the office visit.

After reading the endless complaints on BBB from patient with the same story, I am in the process of reporting Care Now for billing fraud.

An office visit is billable - even if you didn’t get testing. You sound pretty snotty. I don’t blame the PA for distancing himself from you.
